About our general trades services
Not every job fits neatly into one trade. A leaking shower might need tiling and waterproofing, a tired laundry might need carpentry, patching and painting, and a long list of small repairs might need someone who can simply work through all of them in one visit. That's what our general trades team is for — the tiling, carpentry, plastering, flooring and handyman work that keeps a property in good shape.
On the carpentry side we build and repair decks, pergolas, gates and fences, hang and adjust doors, replace damaged skirting and architraves, install shelving and storage, and take on cabinetry and joinery work for kitchens, laundries and built-ins. Tiling covers floor and wall tiling for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and outdoor areas, along with regrouting, resealing and replacing cracked or drummy tiles that have started to lift.
We also do the finishing trades that tie a job together: patching and repairing plasterboard, cornice repairs, rendering, and preparing surfaces so a wall looks straight and clean once it's painted. Flooring installation, door hardware, minor structural repairs and general maintenance rounds it out, and for larger projects we coordinate renovations and commercial fit-outs so the trades turn up in the right order rather than tripping over each other.
The value in handling this properly is that small defects tend to be symptoms. Drummy tiles and failing grout in a wet area usually point to a moisture problem underneath; a door that won't latch is often movement in the frame; recurring cracks in plaster can indicate something worth investigating before you patch them for the third time. We look at what's causing the issue, tell you what we've found, and fix the cause rather than just covering it up.

Can you handle a list of small repairs in one visit?
Usually, yes. If you send through the full list when you enquire, we can work out how much time is needed and book the right amount in one visit rather than several.
Do you replace cracked or loose tiles, or does the whole floor need redoing?
It depends on what is happening underneath. Individual tiles can often be replaced, but if tiles are drummy or lifting across an area it can point to a moisture or substrate issue. We take a look first and explain what we find before recommending anything.
What kind of carpentry and general repairs do you take on?
